Are you electrosensitive?
It's convenient and widely available but a growing group of researchers warn that WiFi may be hazardous to your health.
William Stewart, the head of Britain's Health Protection Agency, is worried that wireless Internet access may pose a health threat — particularly to children — and is privately calling for a study of the hazards of WiFi, the Independent reports.

Researchers believe that the electromagnetic radiation emitted by the phones, cell-phone towers and WiFi masts are contributing to an "electric smog" that could pose a future health risk.
The researchers say this smog of electromagnetic radiation is 1 billion times stronger than the natural fields in which living cells have developed over the last 3.8 billion years. Children may be more vulnerable as their skulls are thinner and their nervous systems are still developing, not to mention that they'll be exposed to more radiation over their lifetime.
The Austrian Medical Association is just one group that wants to keep WiFi out of the classroom, the Independent reports.
The head of environmental health and medicine in the province of Salzburg calls WiFi "dangerous" to sensitive people. "The number of people and the danger are both growing," Dr. Gerd Oberfeld said.
The World Health Organization says that three out of every 100 people are "electrosensitive," the paper reports.
In Britain, a lawmaker from the wireless city of Norwich is calling for an official inquiry into WiFi's risks and the nation's Professional Association of Teachers is lobbying Britain's education secretary for one, as well.
"I am concerned that so many wireless networks are being installed in schools and colleges without any understanding of the possible long-term consequences," said Philip Parkin, the association's general secretary. "The proliferation of wireless networks could be having serious implications for the health of some staff and pupils without the cause being recognized."

ALL electrical appliances including the electrical wires going into homes, even hair dryers, alarm clocks, and refrigerators emit EMFs. You will find in my home many of my electrical appliances have Biopro chips to counteract the effect of this radiation. It's not as deadly as Ionizing radiation like Gamma and X-rays; but non-ionizing radiation, cummulative, and with the growing levels we are being saturated in today with a million cell phone towers being put up around the world each minute - see antennasearch.com to find the nearest ones near you :), and with a plan to make 100% of the country (even in the middle of national forests) wi fi accessable, we are all going to die unless we stop this madness!
There are too many articles on the dangers of wi fi and cell phone dangers to even start to share with you, but what the hay I'll type this up for your sake and also blog it across the net while I'm at it...
There are a lot less media articles, but lots of laboratory research that has been done, on the other electrical appliances and their role in the cumulative effects, like you were saying refrigerators and electrical wiring in our homes. I own many of these studies.
EMFs also decrease melatonin levels. Decreased melatonin inhibits the effectiveness of the immune system by decreasing natural killer cell activity, according to Reiter, 1995.
Dr. Leif Salford and his group of Swedish researchers showed that cell phone radiation at all levels cause significant blood brain barrier leakage. Keep in mind that diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis and Alzheimer's Disease are linked to proteins being found in the brain.
After just five to ten minutes of cell phone activity, human T-cell lymphocytes anti-bacterial activity was significantly diminished, according to the Jirillo study Effects on function of human lympohcytes exposed to electromagnetic fields with a frequency from 1,500 to 2000 MHz, 2003.
In the media, you will find conflicting information. The mainstream media is a business to make money primarily, not provide accurate health information. Some studies will be reported to show harm, some "debunking" any risk of cell phones/EMFs. How do we know what is true?
A recent paper by Huss (2007) found that studies funded by the cell phone companies were least likely to report any statistical significance and the difference was in the nature of a nine to one ratio when compared to those funded by public agencies. Furthermore, we can definitively see the harmful effects under a microscope: As early as the 1990s, researchers Lai and Singh were able to witness single and double strand DNA breaks in cells exposed to radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation.
It's not just cell phones. All electrical appliances are harmful. The electrical wires surrounding the homes and offices we live and work in magnetically attract radio and wireless waves which thus concentrate around and inside buildings and homes. A Danish study found that children living near power lines emitting a 4 mG EMF had a 500% increase in lymphomas, brain tumors and childhood leukemia [Olsen, 1993].
Here's about 1% of the media reports I've seen about dangers of EMFs. Again, I recommend reading the actual studies themsleves. Dr Howard Fischer's The Invisible Threat: The Risks Associated With EMFs is the definitive most up-to-date work covering all the scientific studies ever done on the topic.

EMFs make every health condition worse. I notice I get severe mental cloudiness and a unique brain melting sensation that feels like being intoxicated when I use wireless internet, so I avoid it. I noticed I got headaches within a minute from using an (unprotected) cell phone, so I put a Biopro chip on it and that's why I am able to still use a phone.
