The fact that users would be able to get thousands of apps on their iPad might have had something to do with craze and Apple did make it one of the selling points about the device. Apple marketed the iPad as having specifically designed apps and that these ranged from leisure [...]<p>Source: <a href="http://tabletbuzzblog.com/thousands-of-ipad-apps-is-that-all-it-has-to-offer/">http://tabletbuzzblog.com/thousands-of-ipad-apps-is-that-all-it-has-to-offer/</a></p><p><a href="http://www.everyonehere.info/story.php?title=federal-standard-deduction-2">INTUIT</a> <a href="http://www.evanews.com/other-businesses/good-credit-is-vital-in-this-economy-fix-yours-now-with-these-tips/">INTERSECTIONS</a> <a href="http://www.site4alien.com/story.php?title=learn-about-credit-repair-with-these-tips">INTERNATIONAL RECTIFIER</a> </p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16958493.post-14191575271676444842012-11-13T09:00:00.001-08:002012-11-13T09:00:12.592-08:00TripAdvisor app for Windows Phone 7 now available<a href="http://wp7applist.com/app/12629/tripadvisor"><img alt="tripadvisor windows phone 7" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/downloadsquad.switched.com/media/2011/04/tripadvisor.jpg" style="border-top-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-top-style: solid; border-right-style: solid; border-bottom-style: solid; border-left-style: solid; margin-left: 4px; margin-right: 4px; margin-top: 4px; margin-bottom: 4px; float: right; width: 250px; height: 417px; " /></a><a href="http://www.tripadvisor.com">TripAdvisor</a>, the popular travel planning tool, has just launched an app for Windows Phone 7. Just like the mobile website, the app allows you to search for anything travel-related -- from hotels and flights to restaurants and points-of-interest to visit once you reach your destination.<br /> <br /> Geolocation is supported, which allows TripAdvisor to quickly locate places nearby. But while that's a neat feature, it's also a bit of a downer -- because, really, it's about the only feature TripAdvisor for WP7 brings to the table that its mobile Web app doesn't already offer (its browser-based geolocation doesn't work with WP7 at the moment).<br /> <br /> While it's nice to see Windows Phone 7 users getting some big-name apps, it'd be even nicer if we saw some packing a bit more <em>swagger</em>.<br /> <br /> Still, TripAdvisor for WP7 might just be worth installing on your device if you're frequently on the go -- at least until a better browser arrives with the <a href="http://downloadsquad.switched.com/2011/02/10/windows-phone-7-mango-update-to-bring-mobile-ie9/">Mango update</a>.<br /> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://downloadsquad.switched.com/photos/tripadvisor-for-windows-phone-7/">TripAdvisor for Windows Phone 7</a></strong></p><a href="http://downloadsquad.switched.com/photos/tripadvisor-for-windows-phone-7/#4028238"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/downloadsquad.switched.com/media/2011/04/4f61609b-e0f8-4cc6-a3e2-3f81f2f50be6_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://downloadsquad.switched.com/photos/tripadvisor-for-windows-phone-7/#4028239"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/downloadsquad.switched.com/media/2011/04/6c12e577-4b3b-42e9-a1d4-10e35673d9bf_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://downloadsquad.switched.com/photos/tripadvisor-for-windows-phone-7/#4028240"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/downloadsquad.switched.com/media/2011/04/a74fba0c-7d46-45dc-b187-b2f6a11219dd_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://downloadsquad.switched.com/photos/tripadvisor-for-windows-phone-7/#4028241"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/downloadsquad.switched.com/media/2011/04/f8c78212-35f6-4312-b142-804806267d45_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://downloadsquad.switched.com/2011/04/05/tripadvisor-app-for-windows-phone-7-now-available/">TripAdvisor app for Windows Phone 7 now available</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://downloadsquad.switched.com">Download Squad</a> on Tue, 05 Apr 2011 09:00:00 EST. Now known as Titan, the Cray-developed supercomputer at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory edged out the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory's Sequoia supercomputer for the number one position, reaching 17.59 Petaflops per second with the aid of 18,688 NVIDIA K20 GPUs and an equal number of AMD Opteron processors. As <em>EE Times</em> notes, however, the other big story with this list is the strong showing for Intel's new <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/xeonphi">Xeon Phi</a> co-processors, which have just starting shipping to customers and have already found their way into seven of the supercomputers on the list, including one in the top ten (the Stampede at the Texas Advanced Computing Center at the University of Texas). A few <a href="http://downloadsquad.switched.com/2011/03/09/windows-phone-7-nodo-update-for-htc-hd7-makes-unofficial-debut/">workarounds</a> have been posted, but unfortunately they didn't work unless your carrier had completed testing and was ready to schedule the update.<br /> <br /> Now, however, the Chevron WP7 team's <a href="http://blog.walshie.me/2011/04/04/so-who-wants-windows-phone-updates-like-right-now/">Chris Walshie has delivered a handy little utility</a> that will allow you to update any Windows Phone 7 device -- regardless of your carrier.<br /> <ol> <li> Download and install the Windows Phone Support Tool (<a href="http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/5/4/15427EAF-AD42-4E4A-8179-9A3C5483E366/WPSupportTool-x86.msi">x86</a> or <a href="http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/5/4/15427EAF-AD42-4E4A-8179-9A3C5483E366/WPSupportTool-amd64.msi">x64</a>) and the ChevronWP7 Updater (<a href="http://blog.walshie.me/Share/ChevronWP7.Updater.x86.zip">x86</a> or <a href="http://blog.walshie.me/Share/ChevronWP7.Updater.x64.zip">x64</a>)</li> <li> Launch ChevronWP7 Updater and select your language. If your language isn't listed, <strong>stop and do not update</strong>.</li> <li> If were running WP7 build 7004 (you can verify in Zune) then run the updater <strong>twice</strong>.</li> </ol> Once the process completes, you should be able to copy and paste to your heart's content. Let's just hope all this <a href="http://downloadsquad.switched.com/2011/03/11/windows-phone-7-nodo-update-temporarily-on-hold/">update foolishness</a> gets sorted out before we're supposed to receive Mango.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://downloadsquad.switched.com/2011/04/04/install-the-windows-phone-7-nodo-update-regardless-of-your-carri/">Install the Windows Phone 7 NoDo update regardless of your carrier</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://downloadsquad.switched.com">Download Squad</a> on Mon, 04 Apr 2011 10:30:00 EST. Let's compare this to Nintendo's new console, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/wiiu">the Wii U</a>.</p><ol> <li> Walk to living room, pick up <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/06/03/nintendo-shows-final-wii-u-gamepad-tv-remote-app/">Wii U tablet controller</a>.</li> <li> Press TV button on controller, power on television, select input / applicable volume / etc., power on console.</li> <li> Select profile.</li></ol><p> Just three! At the risk of sounding like late-night TV pitchmen, we must emphasize how important this is. It remains impressive after days of using the console at home. Ever since we (as a society) first plugged computers called "gaming consoles" into our televisions, we've been following an archaic process of swapping remotes and pushing buttons and all sorts of needless busywork. Nintendo's Wii U tablet controller thankfully streamlines that process in a small, but tremendously meaningful way: during initial console setup, you're prompted to sync your television and the tablet controller, allowing the tablet itself to control the TV's power, volume, channels, and input directly.</p><p> And let's pause to emphasize the importance of this step as part of the initial console setup, rather than background functionality to be sussed out later on -- this fundamentally transforms how the vast majority of soon-to-be Wii U owners will interact with their Wii U. The console instantly becomes the de facto media unit, interacting with your cable box, DVR, and various digital streaming offerings, as well as directly controlling your television.</p><p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/11/12/nintendo-wii-u-remote-control/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Nintendo's Wii U tablet controller and the death of your TV's remote control</em></a></p><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/gaming/" rel="tag">Gaming</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/home-entertainment/" rel="tag">Home Entertainment</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/tablets/" rel="tag">Tablets</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/software/" rel="tag">Software</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/nintendo/" rel="tag">Nintendo</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/11/12/nintendo-wii-u-remote-control/">Nintendo's Wii U tablet controller and the death of your TV's remote control</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Mon, 12 Nov 2012 11:19:00 EDT. The Scion theme has been available for weeks, but after it received a ton of press in the last couple of days, Apple finally lashed out.<br /> <br /> It's not like we should be surprised, considering Apple has claimed in the past that jailbreaking is <em>illegal </em>-- but at the same time, did the Cupertino cronies hear about <a href="http://downloadsquad.switched.com/2010/07/26/judge-rules-that-circumventing-drm-is-not-illegal/">the ruling</a> that made circumventing DRM, and <a href="http://downloadsquad.switched.com/2010/07/27/apple-on-legal-iphone-jailbreaks-they-may-still-void-the-warran/">thus jailbreaking</a>, legal? Anyway, whether Toyota was supporting illegal, legal, or deliciously gray and ambiguous, activity, it doesn't matter: Apple asked Toyota to remove the theme, and Toyota graciously bent over and capitulated.<br /> <br /> This story raises a much more interesting topic, though: this is the first time a multinational company has publicly acknowledged and embraced the jailbreak community. Considering jailbreaking is technically legal, and Cydia's creator, Jay Freeman, estimates that up to <a href="http://modmyi.com/forums/iphone-news/757604-major-corporations-turn-attention-jailbreak-scene.html">9% of OS devices are jailbroken</a>, it simply makes good, commercial sense to target jailbreakers with ads. Toyota was simply trying to make some <em>money</em>, for shame!<br /> <br /> As long as Apple continues to throw around its increasingly-expansive mass, the legality of jailbreaking will continue to be inconsequential. It will be interesting to see if another big company dares embrace the jailbreak community after this, too.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://downloadsquad.switched.com/2011/04/06/toyota-pulls-ios-jailbreak-theme-and-ads-to-appease-apple/">Toyota pulls Cydia theme and ads to appease Apple</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://downloadsquad.switched.com">Download Squad</a> on Wed, 06 Apr 2011 05:25:00 EST. So to attract people who need quick answers, especially on the go, it is<a target="_blank" href="http://www.quora.com/blog/Getting-Answers-Faster">starting to show the online status</a> of the experts it recommends you ask. It could keep that "live" feeling that Quora already offers, and pull quick decision questions about topics like shopping or cooking away from Facebook and Twitter. Quora has long given suggestions of who to direct your questions to based on the tags you add. Now when possible, its top suggestions will be experts who are "online now", meaning they have the site or app open. By asking these people who are actually available, you're a lot more likely to get a quick response.<p>Source: <a href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Techcrunch/~3/kpjJct0Ov4I/">http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Techcrunch/~3/kpjJct0Ov4I/</a></p><p><a href="http://www.thisnext.com/item/725EB999/19923898/How-To-Successfully-Repair?share=1">LEXMARK INTERNATIONAL</a> <a href="http://www.bitriangle.info/story.php?title=credit-repair-anyone-can-easily-do">LEVEL 3 COMMUNICATIONS</a> <a href="http://www.crytime.info/story.php?title=use-these-tips-to-fix-your-credit">LAWSON SOFTWARE</a> <a href="http://www.falsepanic.info/story.php?title=learn-about-credit-repair-with-these-tips">LAND SOFTWARE</a> </p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16958493.post-26096252506298625002012-11-12T17:00:00.001-08:002012-11-12T17:00:13.113-08:00Report: HTC Paying Apple up to $8 per PhoneHTC could be shilling out between $6 and $8 to Apple per phone the company sells as part of the companies recent licensing settlement, according to Sterne Agee analyst Shaw Wu.<p>Source: <a href="http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2012/11/report-htc-paying-apple-8/">http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2012/11/report-htc-paying-apple-8/</a></p><p><a href="http://www.elretaule.com/storyrss.php?title=good-credit-is-vital-in-this-economy-fix-yours-now-with-these-tips">ALLTEL</a> <a href="http://artepages.com/bookmarks.php/twiglead15">AMAZONCOM</a> <a href="http://www.thisnext.com/item/B303CBA3/624D25DC/Get-Your-Credit-Rating-To-An?share=1">AMERICA MOVIL</a> <a href="http://www.thisnext.com/pick/new/submit/url/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.vibesconnect.com%2Fyearlung7%2Fblog%2FCredit_Repair_That_Anyone_Can_%2C486794&wish_or_recommend=&from_theme=">AMKOR TECHNOLOGY</a> </p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16958493.post-89688624059092107872012-11-12T15:00:00.001-08:002012-11-12T15:00:16.455-08:00Nokia Lumia 920 for AT&amp;T: what's different?<p class="image-container" style="text-align: center;"> <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/11/12/nokia-lumia-920-for-att-review/"><img alt="Nokia Lumia 920 for AT&T what's different" data-src-height="450" data-src-width="600" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/11/nokialumia920reviewlead01.jpg" /></a></p><p> A few days ago we reviewed the global version of <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/11/02/nokia-lumia-920-review/">Nokia's Lumia 920</a> flagship running <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/29/windows-phone-8-review/">Windows Phone 8</a>. The handset's been available for purchase on AT&T since <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/11/09/psa-windows-phone-8-from-atandt/">last Friday</a> with a few carrier-specific tweaks, such as compatible LTE bands. It's aggressively priced at $100 with a two-year agreement -- this includes 32GB of built-in storage, a free Nokia wireless charging plate (while supplies last) and the same <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/09/26/lumia-920-low-light-shootout/">camera magic</a> as its global sibling. It's a phone that would otherwise cost about £445 ($710) unsubsidized and unlocked. <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/04/nokia-lumia-920-for-atandt-hands-on-a-windows-phone-8-flagship-wi/">Nokia's Lumia 920 for AT&T</a> comes in a choice of high-gloss (red, yellow or white) and matte (cyan or black) finishes. Despite the global and AT&T models being virtually identical, there are minor differences worth noting. This week's selections include a few games, an app for storing videos in various formats, a game based off a Disney movie, an app for viewing photos on your favorite social networks, and an app for storing all your kids' art projects.</p> <h2>RAD Soldiers - <a href="http://forums.imore.com/members/simonsage-229395/">Simon Sage</a></h2> <p><img src="http://cdn.imore.com/sites/imore.com/files/field/image/2012/11/RadSoldiers-hero.jpg" width="620" height="345" alt="" class="aligncenter" /></p> <p>While updating my new and improved <a href="http://www.imore.com/best-free-games-ipad-4-and-ipad-mini">best free iPad games feature</a> I stumbled upon RAD Soldiers. I remember hearing about the game back in the spring before launch, but it apparently went live while I was off gallivanting on Android Central over the summer. This turn-based tactical shooter is absolutely great. It has a cartoony, Team Fortress 2-feeling art style, lots of unlockable characters, equipment, and get-ups, plus the gameplay itself has a ton of depth. There are a variety of maps in both offline challenge and online multiplayer varieties, though there's just the one King of the Hill game type for now. . There's a slight dash of in-app purchasing, but I've been able to enjoy RAD Soldiers plenty so far without paying a dime. If you're into Hero Academy, definitely give this a shot.</p> <ul><li>Free - <a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=xhX*vKggN*k&subid=&offerid=146261.1&type=10&tmpid=5573&RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fitunes.apple.com%2Fapp%2Fid511273608">Download now</a> (not yet available in the US)</li> </ul><iframe width="620" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/n8q9khQq35g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe> <h2>Air Video - <a href="http://forums.imore.com/members/chris-oldroyd-241772/">Chris</a></h2> <p><img src="http://cdn.imore.com/sites/imore.com/files/field/image/2012/11/air_video_hero.jpg" width="620" height="345" alt="" class="aligncenter" /></p> <p>This week?s pick is an app called Air Video. Air Video lets you watch videos stored on your PC or NAS in just about any format on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. To get it to work you must install a small piece of software on your PC or Mac and point it in the direction of your stored video files. The files can be on your PC or Mac or on a shared folder on a NAS device or even a portable hard drive.</p> <p>Once you have installed the software, fire up the Air Video app and you will now see the folders that you setup to view in the PC or Mac install. You will now be able to play any of the videos no matter what format they?re in; some obscure formats may struggle. It works because the PC or Mac converts the video files on the fly and streams them to your iPhone or iPad; it works perfectly and the video quality is excellent.</p> <p>If you have a large pool of videos on your PC, Mac or NAS and want to access them on your iPhone or iPad, Air Video is the best app to do it. It comes in a free version and a paid version; the difference is that the free version will only display a small number of files in any given folder.</p> <ul><li>Free - <a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=xhX*vKggN*k&subid=&offerid=146261.1&type=10&tmpid=3909&RD_PARM1=https%3A%2F%2Fitunes.apple.com%2Fus%2Fapp%2Fair-video-free-watch-your%2Fid313056918%3Fmt%3D8">Download Now</a></li> <li>$2.99 - <a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=xhX*vKggN*k&subid=&offerid=146261.1&type=10&tmpid=3909&RD_PARM1=https%3A%2F%2Fitunes.apple.com%2Fus%2Fapp%2Fair-video-watch-your-videos%2Fid306550020%3Fmt%3D8">Download Now</a></li> </ul><h2>Wreck-it-Ralph - Rene Ritchie</h2> <p><img src="http://cdn.imore.com/sites/imore.com/files/field/image/2012/11/wreck_it_ralph_iphone_hero.jpg" width="620" height="345" alt="" class="aligncenter" /></p> <p>Wreck-it-Ralph is the new Disney movie, and like all movies these days, there's an iOS game to go with it. (There's actually two, one called Fix-it-Felix, which seemed to suck, and another called Wreck-it-Ralph, which is the one I'm picking). Wreck-it-Ralph harkens back to the classic gaming era when kids would have to travel to arcades and shove whatever quarters they could get their hands on into ginormous cabinets just to lose themselves for a few minutes in 8-bit wonder.</p> <p>There were no polygons or orchestras to hide behind, no particle effects or immersion tech to distract from poor gameplay. These simple suckers had to nail it each and every time, or no quarters for them. And nail it they did, over and over again.</p> <p>Now Wreck-it-Ralph is no Donkey Kong, but it does capture the spirit of that time and those games. You start as Fix-it-Felix. Wreck-it-Ralph breaks the windows of your building. You have a tool. You jump from window sill to window sill fixing the panes. Flower pots block your way up. Shutters block the sides. It becomes like a maze. And Ralph keeps trying to drop stuff on your head and knock a life out of you. Once you fix all the windows, you go on and up to the next level.</p> <p>There's more to it, of course, but I don't want to spoil either the game or the movie for you. If you love classic games but you itch for something new, give Wreck-it-Ralph a try.</p> <ul><li>$0.99 - <a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=xhX*vKggN*k&subid=&offerid=146261.1&type=10&tmpid=3909&RD_PARM1=https%3A%2F%2Fitunes.apple.com%2Fus%2Fapp%2Fwreck-it-ralph%2Fid571985909%3Fmt%3D8">Download now</a></li> </ul><h2>Cooliris - <a href="http://forums.imore.com/members/allyson-kazmucha-241779/">Ally Kazmucha</a></h2> <p><img src="http://cdn.imore.com/sites/imore.com/files/field/image/2012/11/cooliris_iphone.jpg" width="620" height="345" alt="" class="aligncenter" /></p> <p>While having several social networks is considered the "cool" thing to do nowadays, that doesn't mean that browsing content across a bunch of them is fun. Cooliris attempts to fill the gap by allowing you to view photos from popular networks all in once place. It can integrate your iPhone or iPad native photos with Facebook, Instagram, and Google images accounts. It doesn't share them but allows you to view photos all in once place.</p> <p>I personally detest the Facebook app and the loads times you have to endure to view photos. Cooliris shows me all my friend's and my own Facebook images all in once place quickly and seamlessly. I can also flick to my Instagram and Google photos just as easy. The conversation feature lets you share selected photos with friends who can then jump on Cooliris and comment and interact. It's somewhat like Photo Stream but across several services.</p> <p>The only thing I'd like to really see in a future update is the ability to integrate and pull photos from your Twitter friends as well. Those can be a pain to weed through and there are a strikingly low number of apps that pull out photos well. That would really send the app over the top. But for now, it's a good start and with a price tag of free, it's definitely worth checking out.</p> <ul><li>Free - <a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=xhX*vKggN*k&subid=&offerid=146261.1&type=10&tmpid=3909&RD_PARM1=https%3A%2F%2Fitunes.apple.com%2Fus%2Fapp%2Fcooliris%2Fid294479487%3Fmt%3D8%23">Download Now</a></li> </ul><h2>Art My Kid Made - <a href="http://forums.imore.com/members/michelle-haag-218267/">Michelle Haag</a></h2> <p><img src="http://cdn.imore.com/sites/imore.com/files/field/image/2012/11/Art_My_Kid_Made.jpg" width="620" height="345" alt="" class="aligncenter" /></p> <p>From the moment your child picks up their first crayon and scribbles out a masterpiece, the question of what to do with all of that priceless art comes up. If you're like me, it's hard to part with anything they've created, and now that my kids are a bit older, I have boxes of their artwork saved. Luckily, I found an app to help me out with not only being overwhelmed by all the art, but also preserving the memories for years to come without fear of them being damaged by time, water, etc.</p> <p>Art My Kid Made allows you to take a picture of your child's art and socialize it by sharing to Facebook or Twitter or uploading to the Art My Kid Made gallery. You can do some simple effects like crop, enhance, add stickers and effects, or rotate before uploading. My favorite feature is the Evernote setting which allows you to automatically back-up each image so you can access it on any device and rest easy knowing you have a copy of all those precious drawings, paintings and collages. Beyond the social aspect of the app with the Twitter and Facebook integration, the Art My Kid Made gallery allows other parents to 'like' uploaded images and check out the Artist of the Day.</p> <p>Free - <a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=xhX*vKggN*k&subid=&offerid=146261.1&type=10&tmpid=3909&RD_PARM1=https%3A%2F%2Fitunes.apple.com%2Fus%2Fapp%2Fart-my-kid-made%2Fid541789120%3Fmt%3D8">Download Now</a></p> <h2>Hill Climb Racing - <a href="http://forums.imore.com/members/leanna-lofte-241816/">Leanna Lofte</a></h2> <p><img src="http://cdn.imore.com/sites/imore.com/files/field/image/2012/11/hill_climb_racing_hero-fixed.jpg" width="620" height="345" alt="" class="aligncenter" /></p> <p>Hill Climb Racing is a physics based driving game where the goal is to drive as far as possible. Many games of similar style (like Jetpack Joyride) require you to avoid obstacles and enemies along the way, but Hill Climb Racing takes a different approach. Instead, you must use the gas and break to control the speed of your car to prevent flipping on hills. If you flip your car (and hear the cringing sound of the driver breaking his neck), then you lose (or win, if you're breaking a record). Hill Climb Racing turned out to be more challenging that I was expecting which is why I like it. I also like it because it's a game that you can just pick up for a few minutes without getting sucked into hours and hours of wasted time.</p> <ul><li>Free - <a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=xhX*vKggN*k&subid=&offerid=146261.1&type=10&tmpid=3909&RD_PARM1=https%3A%2F%2Fitunes.apple.com%2Fus%2Fapp%2Fhill-climb-racing%2Fid564540143%3Fmt%3D8">Download Now</a></li> </ul><h2>Your choice?</h2> <p>Now that we've chosen our favorites for the week, we want to hear yours! Over the last few days, in response to Mozilla's new <a href="http://downloadsquad.switched.com/2011/04/04/mozilla-publishes-name-and-shame-list-of-slow-firefox-add-ons/">name and shame list of slow add-ons</a>, Palant has been investigating whether Mozilla's testing methods are actually accurate.<br /> <br /> Rather surprisingly, it turns out that Mozilla's numbers could be significantly wrong -- and if they're not wrong, the factors that Mozilla uses to tabulate an add-ons final score should definitely be made more transparent.<br /> <br /> In <a href="http://adblockplus.org/blog/how-reliable-are-mozilla-s-performance-measurements">the first set of tests</a>, Palant shows that FlashGot's position in the top 10 is probably due to a fault in Mozilla's testing setup, and that add-ons can perform very differently depending on which operating system they're being tested on. In <a href="http://adblockplus.org/blog/on-fluctuations-in-performance-testing-results">the second analysis</a>, Palant uncovers an irregularity that doesn't seem to have an obvious cause -- but it could be due to an I/O bottleneck on Mozilla's test machines. Basically, even though performance testing of Read It Later is <em>disabled</em> <a href="https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=648229">because of a bug</a>, it still (somehow!) manages to record a 14% slow-down on Windows 7.<br /> <br /> Palant concludes both analyses by scolding Mozilla for going public with the performance data before its testing methods had been confirmed accurate. It definitely looks like Mozilla has been more than a little reckless, considering the importance of Firefox's <a href="http://downloadsquad.switched.com/tag/firefox,add-on">add-on ecosystem</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://downloadsquad.switched.com/2011/04/08/adblock-plus-developer-pokes-holes-in-mozillas-new-add-on-perfo/">Adblock Plus developer pokes holes in Mozilla's new add-on performance tests</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://downloadsquad.switched.com">Download Squad</a> on Fri, 08 Apr 2011 05:20:00 EST. We'll be bringing you these updates every Sunday throughout the month of Movember (formerly known as November) as we grow out our moustaches and raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer research and men's mental health issues.</p> <p>Our Mobile Nations effort has grown to <a href="http://ca.movember.com/mospace/network/mobilenations">95 individuals</a> from around the world taking part and together we have already raised over $6,000 for the cause. We want to end the month with over $10,000 raised, so while we are on track we still need your support! Donations can be made easily over the web. Simply jump over to our <a href="http://ca.movember.com/mospace/network/mobilenations"><b>Mobile Nations Network</b></a> page, click on the name of any of the individuals listed as part of the network, and hit the donate button. All funds donated to an individual will pass through to the network total.</p> <p>We're now 11 days into Movember, which means for most of us our moustaches have sprouted nicely, but are still a long way off from that luxurious full bloom look we seek. Some of us are having more success than others. For myself, my moustache is still looking pretty pathetic, so just yesterday <a href="http://crackberry.com/movember-madness-crazy-things-ill-do-grow-moustache-and-raise-funds-worthy-cause">followed Nick Offerman's How to Grow a Moustache Advice (and Derek Kessler's dare)</a> and <b><i>ate a raw onion</i></b> to fuel my moustache growth. Watch the video above to see how that all played out.</p> <p>Keep reading for more on Movember and to see some great moustache photos from the team!</p> <p><a href="http://www.androidcentral.com/mobile-nations-movember-week-2-update-let-it-grow-let-it-grow-let-it-grow" target="_blank">read more</a></p><img width='1' height='1' src='http://androidcentral.com.feedsportal.com/c/33995/f/616884/s/257a9191/mf.gif' border='0'/><div class='mf-viral'><table border='0'><tr><td valign='middle'><a href="http://share.feedsportal.com/viral/sendEmail.cfm?lang=en&title=MObile+Nations+Movember+Week+2+Update+-+Let+it+grow%2C+let+it+grow%2C+let+it+grow%21&link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.androidcentral.com%2Fmobile-nations-movember-week-2-update-let-it-grow-let-it-grow-let-it-grow" target="_blank"><img src="http://res3.feedsportal.com/images/emailthis2.gif" border="0" /></a></td><td valign='middle'><a href="http://res.feedsportal.com/viral/bookmark.cfm?title=MObile+Nations+Movember+Week+2+Update+-+Let+it+grow%2C+let+it+grow%2C+let+it+grow%21&link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.androidcentral.com%2Fmobile-nations-movember-week-2-update-let-it-grow-let-it-grow-let-it-grow" target="_blank"><img src="http://res3.feedsportal.com/images/bookmark.gif" border="0" /></a></td></tr></table></div><br/><br/><a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/149379627299/u/49/f/616884/c/33995/s/257a9191/kg/342/a2.htm"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/149379627299/u/49/f/616884/c/33995/s/257a9191/kg/342/a2.img" border="0"/></a><img width="1" height="1" src="http://pi.feedsportal.com/r/149379627299/u/49/f/616884/c/33995/s/257a9191/kg/342/a2t.img" border="0"/><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/androidcentral/~4/NVbs0OuiFck" height="1" width="1"/><p>Source: <a href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/androidcentral/~3/NVbs0OuiFck/story01.htm">http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/androidcentral/~3/NVbs0OuiFck/story01.htm</a></p><p><a href="http://www.letdofun.info/storyrss.php?title=good-credit-is-vital-in-this-economy-fix-yours-now-with-these-tips">SES</a> <a href="http://www.dopemechanic.com/Pligg/storyrss.php?title=learn-about-credit-repair-with-these-tips">SHAW COMMUNICATIONS</a> <a href="http://www.crytime.info/storyrss.php?title=use-these-tips-to-fix-your-credit">MCAFEE</a> <a href="http://radionewsworld.com/storyrss.php?title=tricks-to-help-you-when-repairing-your-credit">MAXIMUS</a> </p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16958493.post-20242802082533864532012-11-12T03:00:00.001-08:002012-11-12T03:00:13.538-08:00Apple paying Swiss Rail $21 million to use their clock design on the iPad<div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><p><img src="http://cdn.imore.com/sites/imore.com/files/field/image/2012/09/io_6_clock_ipad.jpg" width="620" height="345" alt="" class="aligncenter" /></p> <p>Apple will be paying Swiss national rail operator SSB $21 million dollars for using their clock design on the new iOS 6 Clock app for iPad. Apple launched the new Clock app for iPad in September of 2012, over 2 years since the original iPad launched sans Clock app of any kind, and initially without permission to use the famed design. The <a href="http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5gDZ2GU-p39G5YagBJPagQWlciaxQ">AFP</a> paraphrases (no link provided and/or available) the Tages-Anzeiger daily:</p> <blockquote> <p>[According to several unnamed sources, Apple] agreed in October to pay the lump sum so it could continue using SBB's Swiss-designed station clock face on its iPads and iPhones.</p> </blockquote> <p>Apple often seems to prefer <strike>begging</strike> paying for forgiveness than asking for permission, and this is simply the latest example. It's a great looking clock, it's a great looking app, the SSB seem to have their money, we have the feature, so all's well that ends well.</p> <p>Now could Apple please go steal that Braun calculator design, along with a good weather and stock app design, so we can finally get iPad parity with iPhone and iPod touch?</p> </div></div></div><div id="comment-wrapper-nid-16447"></div><img width='1' height='1' src='http://tipb.com.feedsportal.com/c/33998/f/616881/s/257526ab/mf.gif' border='0'/><div class='mf-viral'><table border='0'><tr><td valign='middle'><a href="http://share.feedsportal.com/viral/sendEmail.cfm?lang=en&title=Apple+paying+Swiss+Rail+%2421+million+to+use+their+clock+design+on+the+iPad&link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.imore.com%2Fapple-paying-swiss-rail-21-million-use-their-clock-design-ipad" target="_blank"><img src="http://res3.feedsportal.com/images/emailthis2.gif" border="0" /></a></td><td valign='middle'><a href="http://res.feedsportal.com/viral/bookmark.cfm?title=Apple+paying+Swiss+Rail+%2421+million+to+use+their+clock+design+on+the+iPad&link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.imore.com%2Fapple-paying-swiss-rail-21-million-use-their-clock-design-ipad" target="_blank"><img src="http://res3.feedsportal.com/images/bookmark.gif" border="0" /></a></td></tr></table></div><br/><br/><a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/148658826637/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/257526ab/kg/342/a2.htm"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/148658826637/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/257526ab/kg/342/a2.img" border="0"/></a><img width="1" height="1" src="http://pi.feedsportal.com/r/148658826637/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/257526ab/kg/342/a2t.img" border="0"/><p>Source: <a href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/TheIphoneBlog/~3/GAi6UC_moro/story01.htm">http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/TheIphoneBlog/~3/GAi6UC_moro/story01.htm</a></p><p><a href="http://www.dopemechanic.com/Pligg/storyrss.php?title=learn-about-credit-repair-with-these-tips">THQ</a> <a href="http://radionewsworld.com/storyrss.php?title=tricks-to-help-you-when-repairing-your-credit">TEXAS INSTRUMENTS</a> <a href="http://www.falsepanic.info/storyrss.php?title=learn-about-credit-repair-with-these-tips">TERADATA</a> <a href="http://www.eduardofernandez.net/home4/eduardo4/public_html/storyrss.php?title=stop-ruining-your-credit-its-time-to-fix-it">TELETECH HOLDINGS</a> </p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16958493.post-75187516406441539312012-11-12T01:00:00.001-08:002012-11-12T01:00:15.787-08:00Engadget's next reader meetup is in New York City this month! The OP from forums member <em>jerryberry83</em> read like this:</p> <blockquote> <p>Hi can someone help me out ? I will be traveling from Europe to the USA for two weeks at the end of November. Would I be able to buy the Google Nexus 4 from the online store and can I use an international card ? How long does it take to deliver ? Have never bought from the store before!</p> </blockquote> <p>It's a good question. The problem prospective buyers around the globe face, is <a href="http://www.androidcentral.com/outside-google-play-s-reach-nexus-4-pricing-may-not-be-so-sweet">price</a>. Outside the reach of the <a href="http://www.androidcentral.com/tags/google-play">Google Play</a> Store, we're already hearing that the <a href="http://www.androidcentral.com/lg-nexus-4">Nexus 4</a> will be <a href="http://www.androidcentral.com/spanish-retailer-suspends-plans-sell-nexus-4-grounds-pricing">considerably more expensive</a>. While we don't necessarily like this, it isn't all that surprising. But, for consumers in countries not supported by device purchases direct from Google, can they use the store from a country that does have it, if like <em>jerryberry83</em> they will be visiting such a country soon. Or, maybe if you have friends or family there to accept a delivery and forward it on for you. Or, anyway at all you could think of to buy a device using your card. Is it possible? </p> <p>The short answer, sadly, seems to be no. The answer lies within Google Play's own support pages, with the key points being these that relate to possible reasons for declined payments:</p> <blockquote> <p>Your billing address doesn't match the one on file with your bank. Check that the address listed in your Google Wallet account matches the billing address that appears on your credit/debit card statement.</p> <p>At this time, the country of your credit card must match the the country to which you're shipping.</p> </blockquote> <p>In short, it has to be a credit card that not only matches the address registered to the Google Wallet account, but that also is registered in the country to which your device will be shipping. So, if you know someone in a Google Play supported country, you're going to need to get them to buy you one, with their credit card. </p> <p>One suggestion posed in response to the initial query, was the use of a VCC (Virtual Credit Card.) Again, this looks like a non-starter, as Google goes into specifics regarding these cards. A VCC cannot be used to purchase a device from the Play Store. </p> <p>So, there we have it. Not necessarily what some were hoping to hear, but likewise isn't new as far as policies go. For more on the subject, head on into the Google Play Support Pages at the link below. </p> <p class="rteright" style="">More: <a href="http://support.google.com/googleplay/?hl=en">Google Play Support</a>, <a href="http://www.androidcentral.com/lg-nexus-4">LG Nexus 4 review</a></p><img width='1' height='1' src='http://androidcentral.com.feedsportal.com/c/33995/f/616884/s/2579f4b9/mf.gif' border='0'/><div class='mf-viral'><table border='0'><tr><td valign='middle'><a href="http://share.feedsportal.com/viral/sendEmail.cfm?lang=en&title=From+the+forums%3A+Can+I+buy+a+Nexus+4+from+another+country%27s+Google+Play+Store%3F&link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.androidcentral.com%2Fforums-can-i-buy-nexus-4-another-country-s-google-play-store" target="_blank"><img src="http://res3.feedsportal.com/images/emailthis2.gif" border="0" /></a></td><td valign='middle'><a href="http://res.feedsportal.com/viral/bookmark.cfm?title=From+the+forums%3A+Can+I+buy+a+Nexus+4+from+another+country%27s+Google+Play+Store%3F&link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.androidcentral.com%2Fforums-can-i-buy-nexus-4-another-country-s-google-play-store" target="_blank"><img src="http://res3.feedsportal.com/images/bookmark.gif" border="0" /></a></td></tr></table></div><br/><br/><a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/149379623893/u/49/f/616884/c/33995/s/2579f4b9/kg/335/a2.htm"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/149379623893/u/49/f/616884/c/33995/s/2579f4b9/kg/335/a2.img" border="0"/></a><img width="1" height="1" src="http://pi.feedsportal.com/r/149379623893/u/49/f/616884/c/33995/s/2579f4b9/kg/335/a2t.img" border="0"/><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/androidcentral/~4/2_HaXxNBlrU" height="1" width="1"/><p>Source: <a href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/androidcentral/~3/2_HaXxNBlrU/story01.htm">http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/androidcentral/~3/2_HaXxNBlrU/story01.htm</a></p><p><a href="http://www.bitriangle.info/storyrss.php?title=credit-repair-anyone-can-easily-do">MICRON TECHNOLOGY</a> <a href="http://www.dopemechanic.com/Pligg/storyrss.php?title=learn-about-credit-repair-with-these-tips">MICROCHIP TECHNOLOGY</a> <a href="http://radionewsworld.com/storyrss.php?title=tricks-to-help-you-when-repairing-your-credit">METHODE ELECTRONICS</a> <a href="http://www.bitriangle.info/storyrss.php?title=credit-repair-anyone-can-easily-do">MENTOR GRAPHICS</a> </p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16958493.post-36275124526511761592012-11-11T21:00:00.001-08:002012-11-11T21:00:12.712-08:00Got a Favorite Android SMS App?<div style="float: left; padding-right: 10px;"> <!-- div style="background-color: #B3B3B3; width: 190px; padding: 1px;"><a title="Click here to read Got a Favorite Android SMS App?" href="http://gizmodo.com/chatroom/" style="background-color:#888888; color:#FFFFFF; font-size:12px;text-align:right; display:block; height:14px; padding:1px 2px; text-decoration:none; text-transform:uppercase; width:156px;"><span style="color: white;" class="hash">#</span><span style="color: white;">chatroom</span></a></div --> <div><a title="Click here to read Got a Favorite Android SMS App?" href="http://gizmodo.com/5959586/got-a-favorite-android-sms-app" class="pp_image"> <img style="border-color: #B3B3B3; border-width: 0 1px 1px; border-style: none solid solid;" height="120" width="190" title="Click here to read Got a Favorite Android SMS App?" alt="Click here to read Got a Favorite Android SMS App?" src="http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/184zx6qczw9tlgif/original.gif"/> </a></div> </div> I don't really like Android's SMS at all. Well, China Mobile has <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/sinaweibo">Weiboed</a> (<em>is that right?</em>) that its <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/23/china-mobile-lumia920t/">Lumia 920T</a> variant will pack the Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC (MSM8960T), and not the S4 Plus in the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/11/02/nokia-lumia-920-review/">regular 920</a>. The Pro carries the same basic CPU, and while it's not known whether the 920T will use the full 1.7GHz available (the 920's runs at 1.5GHz), the major difference is a bump from the Adreno 225 GPU to the more powerful Adreno 320. It cleaned up in the GLBenchmark tests we ran on the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/19/lg-optimus-g-review-a-quad-core-powerhouse-with-nexus-aspiratio/">LG Optimus G</a> (albeit with a quad-core CPU), but is <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/29/windows-phone-8-review/">Windows Phone 8</a> ready to use all that hardware -- or, more politely, will it make any difference to the user? With graphic-intensive apps a rarity, we would speculatively say no, although it might make for a smoother view through <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/09/11/nokia-reveals-new-city-lens-for-windows-phone-8/">Nokia's City Lens</a>, which is fairly hungry. We won't know until some real-life comparisons between the two emerge, but we'd imagine the GPU boost won't make too much of a difference to the average user.</p><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/cellphones/" rel="tag">Cellphones</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/mobile/" rel="tag">Mobile</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/nokia/" rel="tag">Nokia</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/11/09/lumia-920t-snapdragon-s4-pro/">China Mobile's Lumia 920T packs a Snapdragon S4 Pro, better graphics performance</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Fri, 09 Nov 2012 12:37:00 EDT. For those who aren't familiar, Zen is a fantastic form of shorthand for quickly hand-coding HTML. And today, <a href="https://github.com/sergeche/zen-coding">a new version</a> is out!<br /> <br /> Here are some of the goodies version 0.7 brings to the party:<br /> <ul> <li> <strong>Text nodes:</strong> Writing something like <strong>a[href=/]{Click here}</strong> now works, and puts "Click here" within the link.</li> <li> <strong>New actions added:</strong> Increment/decrement number under cursor, evaluate math expressions, and more.</li> <li> <strong>Wrap with Abbreviation</strong> was upgraded.</li> </ul> There are several other improvements but they're all rather technical. If you use Zen Coding (or are intrigued by the concept) go ahead and <a href="https://github.com/sergeche/zen-coding/wiki/Release-Notes">read the release notes</a> for this new version.<br /> <br /> Zen Coding has official implementations for a ton of editors, including TextMate, Apatana, Coda, E2, Komodo, Notepad++, PSPad, and more. It also has unofficial builds for Vim, UltraEdit, Visual Studio and more.<br /> <br /> If you want to play with Zen Coding without installing it, you can use the <a href="http://zen-coding.ru/codemirror/">online demo</a> to see some of its magic in action.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://downloadsquad.switched.com/2011/03/15/zen-coding-high-speed-html-shorthand-plug-in-updated/">Zen Coding high-speed HTML shorthand plug-in updated</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://downloadsquad.switched.com">Download Squad</a> on Tue, 15 Mar 2011 10:00:00 EST. After some prompting by <em>MIT Technology Review</em> during a chat, East argued that power efficiency is "actually what matters," whether it's a phone or a <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/arm,server">server farm</a>. Making ever more complex and power-hungry processors to obey Moore's Law just limits how many chips you can fit in a given space, he said. Not that the executive is about to accept Intel's position that ARM <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/13/intel-ceo-paul-otellini-addresses-microsofts-arm-move-in-the-wa/">isn't meant for performance</a>, as he saw the architecture scaling to high speeds whenever there was a large enough power supply to back it up. East's talk is a bit long on theory and short on practice as of today -- a <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/11/07/samsung-chromebook-review-2012/">Samsung Chromebook</a> isn't going to make Gordon Moore have second thoughts -- but it's food for thought in an era where ARM is <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/11/05/the-engadget-interview-arms-lead-mobile-strategist-james-bruce/">growing fast</a>, and <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/23/microsoft-surface-rt-review/">even Microsoft</a> isn't convinced that speed rules everything.</p><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/cellphones/" rel="tag">Cellphones</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/desktops/" rel="tag">Desktops</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/laptops/" rel="tag">Laptops</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/tablets/" rel="tag">Tablets</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/intel/" rel="tag">Intel</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/11/09/arm-chief-tosses-moores-law-out-with-the-trash-favors-efficiency/">ARM chief tosses Moore's Law out with the trash, says efficiency rules all</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Fri, 09 Nov 2012 20:27:00 EDT. The fact that users would be able to get thousands of apps on their iPad might have had something to do with craze and Apple did make it one of the selling points about the device. Apple marketed the iPad as having specifically designed apps and that these ranged from leisure [...]<p>Source: <a href="http://tabletbuzzblog.com/thousands-of-ipad-apps-is-that-all-it-has-to-offer/">http://tabletbuzzblog.com/thousands-of-ipad-apps-is-that-all-it-has-to-offer/</a></p><p><a href="http://www.topbookmarkings.com/story.php?title=how-do-i-repair-my-damaged-credit">TOTAL SYSTEM SERVICES</a> <a href="http://www.magizhan.com/story.php?title=ways-to-achieve-and-repair-bad-credit">TNS</a> <a href="http://www.hypersilcolumns.info/story.php?title=tips-to-keep-in-mind-while-repairing-your-credit">TIBCO SOFTWARE</a> <a href="http://www.freepostclassified.com/story.php?title=is-your-credit-bad-you-can-fix-it-3">TIBCO SOFTWARE</a> </p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16958493.post-43312912880286971422012-11-11T11:00:00.001-08:002012-11-11T11:00:14.569-08:00Sprint adding Spotify Premium to carrier billing for Android customers starting November 11th<p class="image-container" style="text-align: center;"> <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/11/10/sprint-spotify-premium-carrier-billing-android/"><img alt="DNP Sprint adding Spotify Premium to carrier billing for Android customers starting November 11th" data-src-height="452" data-src-width="620" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/11/sprint-spotify-billing.jpg" /></a></p><p> A few months back Sprint's Android customers gained the option to <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/05/16/sprint-android-users-get-carrier-billing-in-google-play/">charge Google Play purchases to their monthly wireless bill</a>. In an effort to keep the carrier billing party going, the Now Network will soon be adding this option for <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/spotifypremium">Spotify Premium</a> customers. An anonymous tipster has shared with us that starting on November 11th, Sprint's Android clientele will be able to add the music streaming service's $10 monthly charge to their bill. While we're sure that some customers will take advantage of this new option, we can't help but long for the good old days when people could bill a new phone to their account. Ah, Sprint giveth and <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/09/29/sprint-set-to-end-bill-to-account-program-on-october-5th-all-eq/">taketh away</a>.</p><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/cellphones/" rel="tag">Cellphones</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/software/" rel="tag">Software</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/mobile/" rel="tag">Mobile</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/sprint/" rel="tag">Sprint</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/11/10/sprint-spotify-premium-carrier-billing-android/">Sprint adding Spotify Premium to carrier billing for Android customers starting November 11th</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Sat, 10 Nov 2012 11:45:00 EDT.
